Cibo Verde came out of the desire to harmonize food and fitness.
Growing up in Pescara Italy, Paolo never knew what processed foods were. His meals were made fresh with most of the ingredients coming from his family’s farm. “Eating fresh was simply a part of our culture and organic food was a way of life which kept me healthy and fit.”
Paolo moved to Los Angeles in 2000 and began working as a trainer. He soon noticed that no matter what he did to get his clients in shape, he wasn’t impacting their overall health and in some cases, not getting them to lose weight without having control over their dietary habits.
He had the idea to start a business where he could bring his clients personally designed meals. He was able to keep them on the plan by making the food delicious and easily accessible. He teamed with chef Scott Camilli and Cibo Verde was born, bringing a fresh new concept to the idea of home-delivered meal plans.
